“Be imitators of me. For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, and he will remind you of my ways which are in Christ, just as I teach everywhere in every church.” I Corithians 4:16-17
When I read these verses I can feel the heart of the Apostle Paul and his fatherly love for the people at Corinth. He was revealing his heart and giving them an example to follow. Having an example is the best way to learn. That is why little children love to imitate everything they see us doing.
As I was reading this passage, it became so real to me the example I am to follow: Meditate on the Word, Study the word, pray without ceasing, develop a relationship with the Lord. That is what Christ did, and that is what Paul was an example of. Christ knew the Torah, he knew all about His destiny from his readings and from the relationship with the Father.
God has set before me an example to follow and I have the instructions at my hand. I choose to do this with my will and my heart!
