Being kind is powerful!

I believe kindness is a powerful aspect of love, especially when applied in our own homes. It is something that can cause immediate change to our day and it helps our love not to grow cold.
When someone acts kindly to you, it triggers a chain-reaction; being kind bears much fruit.
I suggest we all start planning situations where we can show more kindness at home. We should surprise the people around us by doing simple things they wouldn’t expect, with such love and kindness that they can’t help but open their hearts. It is so fun to do this, and it really works!
I believe we have to be creative  in our expression of love. Love requires action, it needs to be expressed and it is God’s very nature.
I have heard the phrase, “Charity begins at home” and I think it is true. The more we practice being kind in our own homes, the easier it will be to carry on this habit in our schools, work environment and so many other places. Right?
Here is a scripture I read often and love to meditate on. It really helps me and I pray it may be refreshing to you as well. God bless us all!
Romans 12:9-17 “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;  not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;  rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer,  contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.  Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.  Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.  Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men.”
