For a little over three years me and my family have been living on Maui, Hawaii, and it has been an amazing experience (which of course could mean a lot of things). But even though we live in Hawaii, we don’t really experience paradise every day, because we are not tourists on vacation.
One thing that is really interesting, coming from Brazil, is to understand the differences in the many cultures here in the Islands. This morning, listening to the radio we started laughing about the local jokes, but it only took three years for us to understand these cultures enough to get it and laugh!

Today, Debbie and I are in a transition between the Young Adults School of Prophets and meetings with all the pastors and ministries of The Living Word Fellowship. The 2010 Shiloh School of Prophets is complete, and it was a great time of seeking the Lord together. Now everyone is tired after such an intense time!

Sometimes we tend to take things for granted but it is amazing in how many ways God has blessed us and we are thankful. We have our new building, chairs, musical instruments, people that have moved here in the last three years, new babies being born and above all a family spirit. I am privileged to have spiritual parents—Gary and Marilyn Hargrave—who are always bringing the scriptures alive and nurturing this fellowship of churches. They are a tremendous example of the love for the Word of God and of walking in it. My prayer is for this love for the Word to burn in each one of our hearts. As we see examples of faith around us, let’s imitate it (Hebrews 13:7)!

On June 7, 2009, Gary and Marilyn Hargrave dedicated the new building at Hale O Kāula, on Maui. Gary Hargrave spoke that God is bringing the people of Hale O Kāula back to the spiritual things that John Robert Stevens initiated in the early 1980s.
